Press releases
Official statements from the organisation. Rare, because most of what we have to say fits better as a field report.
We issue a press release when there is something the wider public genuinely needs to know: a significant finding from our monitoring, a change in how the organisation is governed, or a response to something said about the river that we can add evidence to.
\nWe do not issue them to announce that we planted trees. That is a field report, and dressing it as news would waste a journalist’s time.
\nJournalists working on the Rwizi are welcome to contact us directly, including for background on stories that are not about us. The press room has contacts and what we can offer.
