Longer and more technical than the news feed. For people who want the method, the caveats and the working.
Field notes are where we put the writing that does not fit a news item: why we changed a species mix, what a season of monitoring actually showed, how a buffer negotiation went when it went badly.
\nThey are written by field staff rather than by a communications team, which means they are occasionally dense and usually specific. We prefer that to the alternative.
